Sooooooooooo....
This morning I got up at 4:50 to get ready for breakfast. It was yummy again, but that was no surprise. It was still dark outside when we were eating. It was nice having a longer day with the friends at the convention today, but at the same time it was the longest convention day and the last hour and a half was really tough. The seats only come half way up your back and there is NO leg room whatsoever. Talk about uncomfortable! Not to mention the fact that it was raining this morning and it's an outdoor stadium. So yeah, everyone was exhausted by the end of the day and we were all ready to head back to the hotel and go back to bed and do it all over again tomorrow.
We kept saying we wanted to be back to the hotel, showered and in bed by 10 PM, but again, that didn't happen. We arranged to meet some friends a few blocks from the hotel for dinner and we ended up staying at the restaurant until 10. We had so much fun together! But now we are back at the hotel and I'm about to get a shower.
Oh I forgot to mention the attendance for both days. Yesterday we had 46,915 and today we had 49,000+. I can't remember the exact number from today.
Well, I'm signing off, so more tomorrow.
Hasta luego

Day 2...Day 1 of the Convention
Alrighty...
Day 2 was amazing to say the least! We got up shortly after 8:00 and were on the 21st floor for breakfast before 9:00. Breakfast was delicious! I had an omelet with ham and cheese, along with many different breads, a fresh mango, and an awesome passion fruit! I can't get over the fruit here! It is all so fresh and wonderful! Not to mention the freshly squeezed fruit juices.
After breakfast we went back to the room to gather our books and make sure we had everything for the convention. Then by around 11 we were on the bus and on our way to Estadio Monumental, our convention stadium. The ride was about an hour long and the whole way there we saw our brothers and sisters on other buses also on their way to the stadium. There were so many of us!
As soon as we got to the stadium we could feel the emotion behind it all. Native sisters were coming up to me and mom from every direction and kissing us on the cheek and saying, "Bienvenidos" or "Muy bonita"! I saw people from all over looking at me and pointing (I'm guessing they don't see too many redheads). And many of them asked if they could take my picture. Mom thinks that it was the combination of the red hair and blue eyes. They don't see many blue eyes either. But I still can't get over all of the affection and all of the kisses. There is so much love it’s indescribable! Yesterday I liked Peru, today I love it! It was only day 1 of the convention, but there was so much love that it felt as if it were the last day. I'm so excited about going back tomorrow!
After the convention we all got back on the bus and headed toward the hotel. Once there, we ran inside, put our convention things away and headed right back out to get dinner. We ate at this really great restaurant a couple blocks away called Parquetito. I got this fantastic shrimp and rice dish! Right after we placed our order, we noticed a whole table behind us with a group of witnesses. Some were from Peru and others were from Columbia. They were so sweet! We talked to them for quite a while and exchanged contact information, and hope to be in touch soon. We fell in love with the friends at that table!
Once dinner was over we came back to the hotel. Now it's time for bed. Way past time for bed actually. We have to be up by 4:30 tomorrow because we leave the hotel at 7:00 and they are serving breakfast from 5:00-6:00. It's going to be a long tiring day, but no doubt amazing!
Well, I'm off to bed. So keep checking in because I'll keep posting!
Buenas Noches!

Day 1...Kinda
OK so I guess this counts as day one. We started off yesterday afternoon with our travels. Most of my packing was done the day before yesterday so I was good to go. Our plane left Pittsburgh yesterday at 3:20 PM and we arrived in Miami right around 6:00. That gave us plenty of time to pick up our luggage, wait around a bit, watch other people in the airport (people watching is always fun), check our bags again, eat, head to the terminal and meet many of our brothers and sisters on the same flight.
The plane from Miami to Lima, Peru was super nice! There were three rows of seats, with three seats in each row. There were about 40 rows of seats....so let's see....40x9 is 360 and that doesn't include the first class section. So the plane was huge, as you can see. The seats were very comfortable and each seat had a screen on the back of it so you can watch movies, TV shows, play video games, and watch your flight path.
The flight was about 5 hours and 10 minutes long so there was plenty of time to watch a movie, eat dinner and sleep. I had beef with mashed potatoes, salad, a roll and tiramisu for dinner. It was all really good for airplane food! Oh I failed to mention that our flight out of Miami left at 11:55. Needless to say we got into Lima very early in the morning! 5:12 AM to be exact.
Everything in the airport went very smoothly. Customs went well, we got our bags, checked out of airport security, and met our tour bus all within less than half an hour. Once we got on the bus we were headed to our hotel. Our hotel is SWEET!
After a nice long, much needed nap, we went to La Rosa Nautica. It is this super nice restaurant that is right on the ocean and the sunset as you eat dinner is absolutely beautiful! We met Paul and Angie George there, along with our cousins Anthony and Mary, Mary's sister Amy, and Amy's roommate....Amy. Haha!! So the nine of us ate and talked for almost four hours. I had the Wednesday special...baby goat of course! It was so delicious! And for dessert I got this wet chocolate cake with chocolate sauce all over the top of it with strawberries, whipped cream and a small scoop of chocolate ice cream. I was in chocolate heaven! Hahaha!!
After eating at the La Rosa Nautica, we all went our separate ways back to our hotels. Tomorrow is a big day, our first day of the convention. Yes it's only a half day, but being that it will only be our second day here we have a lot to accomplish. Can't wait to tell everyone more tomorrow!!
Ciao Ciao!!
